TClientSocket and TServerSocket missing from XE8

How to install TClientSocket and TServerSocket back into your Delphi / C++ Builder XE8 RadStudio IDE.

  • Select the menu Component->Install Packages
  • Click on the Add... button
  • Navigated to your XE8 install directory probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Embarcadero\Studio\16.0\bin
  • Select dclsockets220.bpl and press open
