How to Reboot under Windows Remote Desktop

This is just a quick note for those running a remote desktop and wanting to reboot the connected machine. Under the remote desktop the normal Start menu option Turn off Computer is not available.

To shutdown and restart the remote machine you can either hold down the <CTRL><ALT><END> keys to bring up the Windows Task Manager. Now you can select the shutdown and restart menu options.

An alternative shutdown method is to run the shutdown command from a command prompt.

Ahh, yes! I was wondering how to do this and I stumbled across your site on the (mt) forums... =) Thanks!

No problem, something I don't do often and forget how to do it, hence the note. Thanks for the comment.
